Can you believe it's already March? 2014 is rolling along, and is nearly 1/4 gone. The incessant "march" of days (see what I did there?) means that Into the Box (our first annual 1-day, 2-track conference about all things *Box) is rapidly approaching as well. If you haven't already, be sure to get your ticket today! We look forward to seeing you there!

And of course, we're super-excited about the great line-up of speakers that we have for ITB 2014, which includes this week's featured speaker: Markus Schneebeli!

Q & A with Markus

Q: What made you want to speak at Into The Box 2014?
A: Because the *Box products made development fun again and we are much more productive. Also support and documentation are excellent, thanks to Luis and the community.

Q: What does web development mean to you?
A:
It's my business life and it's where my creativity is at its peak. I just love to work in development!

Q: Anything you want to experience during the conference?
A: Learn new stuff...you are never done with it! And meet friends of course!

Q: What advice would you give to your younger self, knowing what you know now?
A:
Get the best frameworks, make yourself familiar with design patterns and never develop anything outside Coldbox ;-)

Q: This year's lineup of speakers has lots of quality, what other session(s) are you looking forward to attending?
A:
ColdBox + ORM: Pink Unicorns Do Exist!, because I want to get the maximum out of ORM, as well as NoSQL Development with CFCouchbase

Markus' Sessions

Enterprise Box Architecture

Clean architecture and application design is key when developing large applications.

But thinking of maintenance, extensibility, re-usability and fun while coding, you'd better always look for an excellent setup of your software architecture.

This session will give you a step-by-step introduction of how you can improve your application design, getting the maximum out of Coldbox and its ORM capabilities, with Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architecture in mind.

10:00 AM - 10:55 AM Room2

Be sure, of course, to check out our full list of sessions for Into the Box 2014!
